In 1998 the first 3,000 vines were imported from Europe and were planted in Loikaw, the capital of the Kayah State.In June 1999, the Loikaw Vineyard was relocated to MAS’ Htone Bo Farm, near Taunggyi in the Southern Shan State.  The wine-makers-to-be thus became tenants of the Ministry of Agriculture which marked the beginning of an excellent cooperation ever since....
